Now don’t get me wrong, in no capacity did I invent this top-knot. I discovered it from Abby Smith over at Twist Me Pretty last summer and thought it was ingenious way to hide the fact that I didn’t style my hair (for the second day in a row). That being said, this is the style I wear 50% of the time during the summer. It’s easy and looks good at the same time. And it means I can be ready to go in 15 minutes rather than 25. That’s a win in my book.
I paired the Mandy Bun with my favorite chambray shirt, black jeans, and a pair of totally adorable green sandals from my sister’s closet. This look is perfect for running errands or spending the day studying – something I see in my near future as school starts three weeks from today!
Hello my lovely readers! It’s been a crazy week around here, and I am so sorry for the extended absence!
First of all, ARE YOU OBSESSED WITH THIS CLUTCH?Because I totally am. I found it at T.J. Maxx for $15 on sale. FIFTEEN DOLLARS. So of course I snatched that puppy up before anybody else could give it a second look. I am in love with it and I would carry it every. single. day. if I had a reason to.
Also, I LOVE this top. It’s one of my favorite pieces this summer. I had been in the market for a more casual peplum top when I found this gem (also at TJ Maxx) and had to have it. The color is vibrant and I love the way it adds some detail to an otherwise pretty monotonous outfit.
Well that’s all for today, see y’all soon!
KC has blessed us with an intense, sweltering heat streak this summer. When I’m not in running shorts and a tank top, I love to throw on these floral print shorts. They provide a much-needed punch to the mundane shorts and tee combo, but are light and flowy in the heat. I tied the hem of my tee to add some extra detail and paired it with my favorite statement necklace.
What’s your favorite piece to keep cool and stylish this summer?
